Excuse Letter by Student

Such letters are written by students either to college administration or school authority for being absent on an unoccasional leave. As it gets a bit tough for a student to attend school or college regularly. There are times when students are not in a position to attend their classes. An excuse letter might be used to present the excuse for being absent.

THINGS TO REMEMBER, WHILE WRITING AN EXCUSE LETTER:

  • Since these letters are generally written to the school principal or class teacher, keep the tone polite and soft.
  • Such a letter must contain the reason for not showing up in a simple and precise manner.
  • One must include their details like the class/section they study in and duration of absence etc.
  • If for health reasons, one can also attach the doctor’s prescription with it.
  • Try to provide honest reasons and avoid lying.
  • Double-check the letter for spelling mistakes and grammatical errors.
