Sir/Madam,
Through the esteemed columns of your newspaper, I want to draw the attention of the authorities towards the persistent social evil, child labour. Child labour is the exploitation of children. Childhood is an essential part of growing up. It is the most memorable time for children but unfortunately, some children have to work forcefully.
The major cause of it is poverty and unemployment. Children are sent to work instead of school to earn a living. They steal their childhood and seek them as financial support. Not only that but it also leaves an impact on them – mentally, physically and emotionally.
Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like to request the government to take some effective steps towards ending child labour and creating awareness among people. The government should implement laws effectively and punish employers in this regard.
