Dear _______ (Name),
I hope you are doing well. I am doing great here.
As you know Diwali just passed. I am writing this letter to share my experience with you. You know it’s the ______ (some event/activity/pandemic/lockdown) going on. This year, Diwali was a little different. We didn’t meet a lot of people. This year gifts were exchanged through couriers and most of the Diwali wishes were on call. And the calls were pretty long with justifications.
We decorated our houses with lights and made rangoli art too. The decoration part was done as usual. We just didn’t meet a lot of people, nor did we have many guests. We tried to avoid it because of the pandemic. But we made delicacies at home and we were able to celebrate Diwali with family.
We learned how important it is to spend time with family. Every year we celebrate Diwali with a lot of hustle-bustle and didn’t give much heed to family. This year since there were not a lot of people we tried to share happiness and joy amongst ourselves. This was how our years’ Diwali was.
Do write back and let me know how your Diwali was. Was it interesting? I am eagerly waiting for your response.
Yours loving,
